March 12 marked a shift from theory to hands-on experience at Sporos Farm, a dynamic permaculture education lab. The first part of the day was transformed into an interactive and highly practical workshop, where participants worked in teams to solve real-life challenges. This immersive approach allowed for full engagement, encouraging problem-solving through collaboration. Later in the day, attendees had the opportunity to witness permaculture in action, observing regenerative practices and agroecological. Beyond the learning experience, the day was also a sensory journey—participants were fully immersed in nature, experiencing the serenity of the landscape while enjoying traditional Greek vegetarian dishes that embodied principles of zero waste, healthy living and sustainability.
On March 13, the final day the conference returned to Baxtses, Mytilene, where the focus shifted towards community-driven adaptation and the collective role in fostering climate resilience. Participants engaged in sessions aimed at showcasing actionable permaculture plans, bridging the gap between knowledge and application. The event concluded with a closing plenary that consolidated insights from the previous days, leaving attendees with a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration to integrate regenerative practices into their immediate environments.
Over these three days, the conference provided a harmonious balance between intellectual discourse and hands-on learning, emphasising the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability, community resilience and simple yet innovative solutions for a changing world.
